Six bills on agenda for Indian Affairs Committee

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee has posted an agenda for this Thursday's business meeting.

Six bills are on the agenda. They are:

• S.797 , the Tribal Law and Order Act. The committee held a hearing on the bill on June 25.
• S.313 , the White Mountain Apache Tribe Water Rights Quantification Act. The committee held a hearing on the bill on April 2.
• S.375, the Crow Tribe Water Rights Settlement Act. The committee did not hold a hearing on the bill.
• S.965 , the Taos Pueblo Indian Water Rights Settlement Act. The committee did not hold a hearing on the bill.
• S.1105 , the Aamodt Litigation Settlement Act. The committee did not hold a hearing on the bill.
• S.1388 , the Spokane Tribe of Indians of the Spokane Reservation Grand Coulee Dam Equitable Compensation Settlement Act. The committee did not hold a hearing on the bill.

The business meeting takes place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. It will be followed by hearing on S.1635, the 7th Generation Promise: Indian Youth Suicide Prevention Act of 2009.
