Last Hopi Code Talker, Pooyouma, dies

KYKOTSMOVI, Ariz. — Hopi Tribal Chairman LeRoy N. Shingoitewa ordered flags on the Hopi Reservation to be flown at half-staff through Wednesday in recognition and honor of the late Hopi Code Talker Rex Pooyouma of Hotevilla, who passed away Oct. 23 at the age of 93.
